3.ストックホルムで食べたベトナム料理

７月に１週間夏休みを取って、スウェーデンのストックホルムに旅行に行ってきました。ストックホルムに行くのは初めてだったんですが、本当にきれいな街で大好きになりました。水の都と言われるストックホルム。島と運河がたくさんあって、島と島の間をフェリーで行き来できます。フェリーから見る街並みが印象的でした。

さて、たくさんの生徒さんから「旅行中スウェーデンの料理を食べましたか。何がおいしかったですか。」と聞かれたんですが、恥ずかしいことに旅行中スウェーデンの料理を全然食べませんでした。

私達夫婦は北アイルランドに住んでいますが、Belfastはあまり大きくないので、国際的な料理が食べられるレストランが少ないです。だから大きな街に旅行に行くと、必ずアジア料理のレストランを探して行きます。そこで、今回、私達はGoogleで見つけた評判のいいベトナム料理のレストランに行くことにしました。

そこはレストランと言うよりは、小さな屋台のような場所でした。ショッピングモールのフードコートにあり、とても小さい場所でした。でも、見た目や雰囲気で「ここは絶対おいしいに違いない！」と感じたんです。ネット上でのレビューも高く、「ストックホルムで一番おいしいベトナム料理」と書かれていました。私は、牛肉のフォーという麺料理を食べたのですが、本当にスープがおいしくて、ストックホルム滞在中に食べた料理で一番おいしい料理になりました。

残念ながら、今回は、特別なスウェーデン料理は食べませんでしたが、カフェでシナモンロールパンを食べました。ストックホルムも素敵なカフェが多いです。シナモンロールはスウェーデン発祥と言われています。（本当かな？）

I took a one-week summer vacation in July and traveled to Stockholm, Sweden. It was my first time to go to Stockholm, and I really loved the beautiful city. Stockholm is known as the water city. There are many islands and canals, and you can take a ferry between islands. The view of the city from the ferry was impressive.

Many students asked me, "Did you eat Swedish food during your trip? What was delicious?" I am ashamed to say that I did not eat any Swedish food during the trip.

We live in Northern Ireland, and Belfast is not very big, so there are not many restaurants where you can eat international food. So when we travel to larger cities, we always go looking for Asian restaurants. So this time we decided to go to a reputable Vietnamese restaurant that we found on Google.

The place was more like a small food stall than a restaurant. It was in the food court of a shopping mall and was a very small place. But from the look and feel of the place, I felt, "This place must be delicious!". It was highly reviewed on the Internet and was described as "the best Vietnamese food in Stockholm". I had a noodle dish called beef pho, which had a really good soup and turned out to be the best dish I had during my stay in Stockholm.

Unfortunately, I did not eat any special Swedish food this time, but I did have cinnamon roll at a cafe. Stockholm also has many nice cafes. It is said that cinnamon rolls originated in Sweden. (Is it true?)
