I like how she picked a good variety of videos with different themes and levels, which were great for learning both the Japanese language and culture. “Noriko-san's challenges are always definitely a challenge, but fun! Her feedback is particularly useful. The comments are thorough with lots of tips on vocabulary and grammar points to review. What I liked about this challenge was the option to record the essay and get feedback. This shadowing exercise was helpful for both pronunciation and to learn new vocabulary. The deadlines were maybe a little too short, but on the other hand, that is what makes it a challenge! Sometimes if the deadlines are too long, I can really deliberate over the essay, think too much about it and try to make it better. But it's never going to be perfect, so maybe it's better to just to do it, and send it off! Thank you Noriko-sensei for another great challenge! I look forward to the next one.”

“Noriko-sensei creates interesting activities to keep her students motivated and enhance the fun of learning a language. For me, one of the most enriching and fun activities this year was the Reading Challenge. The participants had to choose a book and set individual goals to achieve their own reading challenge. Once a week we met online to talk about our reading experience, sharing our feelings and learning a lot from the others. Reading every day for one month has brought a lot of improvement in my Japanese level and personally, as someone who loves books, I will keep reading every day as a method to improve my Japanese in an enjoyable manner. Great thanks to all the members of this community and specially to Noriko-Sensei for keeping our spirits high and coming up with such great learning activities.”
